Adding a finals game to a grade’s fixture

Finals games can be added to a grade’s finals fixture at any point. There are two differences between adding a finals game and adding a regular season game.

The first difference is that if you don’t know the name of the team that will play in the finals game, you can select the ‘TBC Team’ option as a placeholder from the top drop-down list of teams in the Home/Away team fields. Once you know who will be playing in the finals game, you can then return to edit the game to set the teams.

The second difference is that the round selector allows you to select from finals rounds.

Adding a game to a finals fixture

To add a game, select Competition Management from the main menu on the left-hand side. Then select the relevant Competition and Season tile, and then select the Grades tab. Once here, select View Fixture option from the relevant grade and then the Finals sub-tab. Then choose Add a Game button.

Once you arrive on the Create new game page, there will be two sections to complete: Game details and Allocation.

When entering the game details, celect the home and away teams. The team swap icon can be used to switch the home and away team if appropriate. If any of the teams are unknown, choose ‘TBC Team’. Select the round from those that were created when the finals fixture was generated. The game alias is available if you wish to display an alternative name in the fixture (eg. Semi Final). This is optional.

The second section is the allocation. Select a venue from the full list, this is where the game will take place. The playing surface represents the details of the court where the game is to be held. Although the date can fall on an exception date, you will be reminded of the exception date on the form if this is selected.  When a start time is selected, the end time will be automatically populated based on the total; game duration that is set in the grade’s settings. Minutes can only be set in 5-minute increments.

Once the fields have been entered and you are satisfied with the information in these fields, select Add game in the top right corner of the form. Once selected, this will add and display the new game in the round that was chosen within the grade's finals fixture.
