Contents
As a fully customisable platform, updates can be made to virtually any facet of the Wix website. There are two options available when doing so:
- Using the floating toolbar; or
- Using the Layout menu
Floating toolbar
When using the floating toolbar, simply select the element you wish to update (you may need to select the element several times before the relevant options appear). The toolbar will provide a range of options to update and edit the element.
Once the updates are complete, click anywhere on the page to exit the floating toolbar.
Layers Menu
The Layers menu icon is located in the toolbar in the top left-hand corner (2nd from the left). Once selected, the pages sections will appear with a corresponding collapsible arrow next to each. Select the arrow from the relevant section to uncover the elements within the section.
Once the relevant section is selected, exit the Layers menu. A floating toolbar will appear on the selected element.
Once the relevant updates or edits have been made, click anywhere on the page to exit the floating toolbar.
Updating Text
Using either of the previously outlined options, select the relevant text to be updated and choose Edit Text from the floating toolbar.
A range of options will then apear. These will be text formatting options such as alignment, font, size and links. You can use your cursor to add text by selecting the relevant area and begin typing.
Updating Images
To update an image (or a logo) use either the Layers menu or the floating toolbar. Once the option to Change Image appears, select this to open the images library.
You can Upload Media or select from existing images. Once the desired image is chosen, select Update.
The new image will then appear on the webpage.
