Viewing Participant Age Groups
Overview
Age Groups enable association and club administrators to efficiently manage participants and registration numbers by tagging players with specific age categories.
Associations can easily create Age Groups to categorise players based on their date of birth. This feature allows both associations and clubs to filter, allocate, and manage players effectively according to their age group. Clubs can also set registration limits for specific age groups once the Age Groups setting has been configured by the association.
Setting up Age Groups
Admin Bodies and Associations can set Age Groups for a competition season by navigating to Competition Management from the main menu on the left-hand side and selecting the relevant Competition tile.
For an existing season, select the appropriate Season tile, then the Settings tab, and click the Set Up Age Groups button. For a new season, click the Add Season button, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Set Up Age Groups.
A window will pop-up, prompting you to configure Age Groups by selecting a date to calculate a player's age and the age groups to use. Click the Update & Save button to confirm.
Specify the minimum age for the youngest group and the age range for any open-ended groups.
Once completed, click Create Season (or Update & Save for an existing season).
Configuring Advanced Age Ranges
To accommodate age groups that require precision down to months or days (e.g., ages 6.5 years), you can configure advanced Date of Birth (DOB) age ranges. Once you have set up the basic age groups, toggle on the Set advanced DOB age ranges to reveal additional fields. Here, you can specify the number of months or days for each age group as needed.
Viewing Participant Age Groups
After configuring Age Groups, they will be visible for each player in participant lists. To view this information, navigate to the relevant competition and season, and select the Participants tab. You can use the search and filter options to find specific players based on their age group.
The age group information will also appear on each participant’s profile. To access this, click View from the corresponding participant entry under the Participants tab. Additionally, age groups will be displayed when viewing a team. To find a team, select the relevant Competitions and Season , then choose the Teams tab and select the appropriate team.
For team allocation, administrators can easily find the right players using the Age Group filter. After selecting a team, click the Allocate Player button and use the Age Group filter to find players who match the relevant age criteria.
Age group details will also be included in the Participant Report. You can access this report by selecting Reports from the main menu, then choosing the Competitions tab and scrolling down to Participant Report.
Making Changes to Age Groups
Only Admin bodies and associations can remove or edit Age Groups. To edit or remove an age group for a season, go to Competition Management in the main menu on the left-hand side and select the relevant Competition tile. Next, choose the appropriate Season tile and click the Settings tab. Under the Age Groups section, click the Edit Age Groups button to make changes.
If you need to remove all age groups, click the Remove button. A pop-up will appear to confirm the removal; you can choose to proceed or cancel to return to the previous page.
