Mailchimp & PlayHQ
Mailchimp is an email marketing platform that lets administrators easily communicate with participants that have registered to their organisation within PlayHQ.
Reasons this might be helpful include emails about upcoming events, registrations, programs, competitions or fixtures.
Connecting Mailchimp & PlayHQ
Mailchimp needs to be connected to your PlayHQ profile to enable your participant data to be synced to Mailchimp as your audience.
To connect a PlayHQ organisation to a Mailchimp account:
First login to your organisation profile in the admin portal.
- Click Settings > General
- Select the Integrations tab
- Click Connect
Note: You can also integrate you Xero account here as well.

Click Allow to grant PlayHQ access to the Mailchimp account
The Log In to Mailchimp section should now display with Logged in.
Select the Primary Audience to use in Mailchimp. PlayHQ contacts will appear in this Mailchimp audience.
NB: if you don't have any audience to select in the drop down box - you need to check and fill in the profile section of your Mailchimp account (covered in setup)
Once the audience is selected - PlayHQ will automatically sync the contacts to that audience.
Once the sync is completed - these participants will be part of your contacts (audience) in your connected Mailchimp account.
