Setting up the Family Member Discount
Overview
A family member discount provides a percentage discount off the applicable organisation (club or association) player registration fee. The discount will apply to subsequent player registrations made under the same account holder, within the same organisation, competition and season. The family member discount does not apply to registrations for any program.
When the discount is enabled, it will be displayed and applied during the registration. It will also appear on the PlayHQ tax invoice emailed to the account holder after successful registration.
Administrators can view and track discounts applied to players by accessing the Transaction Report.
Players will only receive the family member discount from the organization to which they are registering. For example, a discount will not be applied to association fees as well as club fees when using a club participant registration form.
Please note: The family member discount does not apply when a team organizer uses the association Team to Season registration form.

Accessing Family Member Discount as an Association Administrator
To begin, select Competition Management from the main menu, choose the relevant competition and season, then click on the Registration tab followed by the Association sub-tab. Once here, scroll down to the Family Member Discount section.Under this section, you can either configure the discount by choosing Set up Form or edit the existing one by clicking the button Manage.
Accessing Family Member Discount as a Club Administrator
To begin, select Competitions from the main menu, choose the relevant competition, then click on the Registration tab followed by the Forms sub-tab. Under the Family Member Discount section, you can either configure the discount by choosing Set up Form or edit the existing one by clicking the button Manage.
Setting up the Family Member Discount
Once on the Family Member Discount page, enter the appropriate discount percentage. This must be a whole number between 1 and 100, then select Save.
Once saved, the discount will be applied to subsequent registrations from the first registered player. Consequently, the first player will not receive a discount; however, the second player to register for the same organisation, competition, and season under the same account holder will receive the discount on their applicable registration fee.
The status of the family member discount will now display as Active. You can edit an existing discount by selecting Manage. To disable or make the discount inactive, adjust the Status toggle.
When the family member discount is active and applicable, it will appear on the player’s registration form Fees and Payment & Summary pages as highlighted in the example images below.
