State-based membership organisations (M.O) can set a non-playing fee for membership to their organisation, in the same manner as they can for playing memberships.
M.O non-playing membership fees are displayed in PlayHQ when a participant chooses a non-playing role e.g., Coach, Team Manager, Official or Volunteer
Note: Associations make non-playing roles available to participants:
- In Club Management Settings when inviting a Club to participate in an association season, and
- When creating a Participant to Season registration form for participants to register directly to the Association
Non-playing membership fees are directly disbursed to the M.O in the same manner as playing membership fees.
Associations and Clubs can also charge a fee by competition to be available for non-playing roles.
How does a non-player membership work?
Each M.O has their own policy relating to non-playing memberships and participants should contact their individual M.O to understand their policy.
PlayHQ recognises participants with a current non-playing membership and will not re-charge a participant if their membership lasts until the end of the competition that they are entering. Generally, if a participant has a current membership and purchases another membership type e.g., current non-playing membership and purchases a playing membership, the second membership will be discounted by the fee already paid for the overlapping time in role.
Any discount applied as a result of a participant purchasing an overlapping membership of a different type will be seen as a membership discount at time of registration and on their tax invoice.
