When updating information about your organisation, PlayHQ provides the opportunity to show your location using the discovery maps feature. This is a great way to enable anyone who wishes to attend the organisation or venue to easily find the details on your organisation’s public PlayHQ page.
Finding Latitude and Longitude
In order to provide this information, you will require the latitude (north or south) and longitude (east or west) coordinates. To find these, open Google Maps and enter the details of your organisation or venue in the search bar. Once you have found the address, right click the place or area on the map, then select the latitude and longitude (this will automatically copy coordinates).
Note: When giving a co-ordinate, latitude always precedes longitude. Latitude and longitude are divided in degrees (°), minutes (') and seconds (“)
Adding Latitude and Longitude to Your Organisation
Once you have copied the coordinates, navigate back to the PlayHQ admin portal, and select My Organisation, and then Overview on the main menu on the left-hand side. Under the Details tab, scroll down to the Address section of the page and paste the Latitude and Longitude in the corresponding sections.
