Configuring ladder settings will affect how a ladder is calculated and displayed in the PlayHQ admin portal and the public PlayHQ page.
To begin the ladder configurations, select Competition Management in the main menu on the left-hand side, then choose the relevant Competition and Season tile, and then the Grades tab. Select the relevant grade, then the Settings tab, and Ladder sub-tab.
In the Ladder Settings section, the Ranking types set the current format choice for ladder calculation and display.
Total ladder points will be sorted based on their total ladder (competition) points. If more than one team is on the same number of total points then they will be sorted by highest % (Points For divided by Points Against multiplied by 100), then sorted by Points For, and then lastly by Team name alphabetical order (if ever required).
Ladder average points will be sorted based on their Points Average (which is calculated by the ladder (championship) points divided by the number of games played). Like total ladder points, if more than one team is on the same Points Average then they will be sorted by highest % (Points For divided by Points Against, multiplied by 100), then sorted by Points For and then lastly by Team name alphabetical order (if ever required).

Game outcome points use the sports default game outcome values or use the custom option.
The ladder visibility sets whether you would like to show your ladder on the PlayHQ public site. This does not affect how ladders are calculated. The ladder will always be available in the PlayHQ Admin Portal.
To allow for regrading at certain rounds, the Ladder results – Round option allows the ladder calculation to commence at a particular round. While the Ladder Results – Grade option allows the ladder calculation to only include the results for games played within the grade.
Once you are satisfied with the settings, select Update & Save. Ladder configurations can be modified and reset at any time.
