Configuring ladder settings will affect how a ladder is calculated and displayed in the PlayHQ admin portal and the public PlayHQ page.
To begin the ladder configurations, select Competition Management in the main menu on the left-hand side, then choose the relevant Competition and Season tile, and then the Grades tab. Select the relevant grade, then the Settings tab, and Game sub-tab and scroll down to the Ladder Settings section.
Game Outcome Points are awarded for game results. The sport default setting will award the points below for each category, however, each column can be updated by choosing Custom.
The Ladder Ranking Order enables you to set the current format choice for ladder calculation and display. With 5 fields available, if teams are tied on the first selected field, the ladder position will be determined by the next field. If the first two fields are tied, then the third field will determine the positions and so forth.
Administrators will also have the ability to choose which ladder columns to publicly display. It is important to note that each column will still be calculated, even if it is not displayed.
Regrading configuration will allow you to set whether a team's previous game results are carried over into the new grade after a regrade or use only results from the respective grade. By default, this will be set to include game results from previous grades.
The ladder visibility sets whether you would like to show your ladder on the PlayHQ public site. This does not affect how ladders are calculated. The ladder will always be available in the PlayHQ Admin Portal.

By navigating to the Ladder sub-tab, you will be able to choose which round the ladder calculation will commence.
This enables you to run games without displaying the game outcomes and ladder statistics to the general public. This is feature is typically used to eliminate the outcomes of games played in the Grading Phase of the regular season, effectively 'resetting' the grade's ladder post-grading. This allows rounds to be played to help determine which teams need to be redistributed (regraded) to another grade to better balance the competition.
Note: A fixture needs to be generated for the grade before setting this.
The example in the screen image above, Rounds 1 to 3 will not be included in the ladder calculation. The ladder has been set to calculate from the game outcomes and statistics from Round 4 on.
Note: By default, regrading will include any outcomes or and team statistics from Round 1, as well as results from any grade that a team has played in for the season.
Once you are satisfied with the settings, select Update & Save. Ladder configurations can be modified and reset at any time.
